New: Asking questions and claiming "democracy" in UCU

On the blog this week we have a brand new article from UCU Commons member and University of Sheffield UCU activist Mark Pendleton. In this piece, Mark looks over UCU’s increasingly complicated political makeup post-2018, and asks how activists of different affiliations claim “democracy” in the union, and to what ends. He concludes by calling for a redoubled commitment to building the union, and, most importantly, building our members’ confidence as the path to effective action and, ultimately, victory.
